Workato is considered a leading Data Integration and Automation Platform. In early 2025, I joined as a Senior Product Designer, Data Orchestration and API Management. At the time, Workato already had an established design language that I got to use, and was re-working their roadmap to strategically pivot into agentic AI tools and interfaces. We also needed to improve our platform’s data orchestration & API management features to meet customer needs and expectations. More broadly, were getting signal that customers are willing to replace unnecessary tools and consolidate their business and IT teams inside Workato.

What followed for me was 6 months of learning the about Anthropic’s popular “model context protocol” (MCP), and as lead designer eventually succeeding with my team in building adoption for an enterprise-compliant MCP product.

Alongside that, I was helping a product manager shape the feature set of our relatively new data pipelines/orchestration product, and API management platform features, through finding patterns that could scale as the platform matured, while keeping product & engineering in the loop.
